Dirt track del Rosario held its second edition on October 8th in its hometown, Tomeza. Coinciding with the parish's patron saint festivities (Fiestas Del Rosario), we organized this short track jam session between Adrián Otero, Machete Company, La Urbana Bike and 5 special.
In this edition of Dirt track del Rosario, the special guest was dust, a constant cloud of dust monopolizing the mountaintop where the circuit is located, an old dirt soccer field.
It was a fun Saturday with gasoline, dust, barbecue, beer, more dust, falls, beer, burnt oil, more dust, and more beer!!!!.... What more could you ask for???
The various heats were held in the late afternoon with over 35 registered competitors. With a wide variety of bikes, from the incredible Zaeta made by El Solitario MC to the Macal 50cc from Delfim das Motas (from Portugal), pit bikes with long swingarms from 5 special, the 250cc from TrintaUm garage, our Derbi Variant demolition by Mototec&foam, etc.
There was also space for new blood, where the youngest competitors put on quite a show. There was no shortage of hard braking and in some cases, a bit of foul play, heheheh... A Mini Dave Aldana from the El Solitario MC saga crowned the race.
Unfortunately, this year the local rider of the 50cc Derbi Savahna had technical problems with his bike and could not get past the heat. But he didn't stop putting on a show at all times. He took good note from the previous year, as he lost his shoes in every corner, and in this edition, he wore good rubber boots for maximum safety and grip. This is the true spirit of Dirt track del Rosario: "ride with what you have on hand and with a lot of faith and fun."
