Another year, the 13th edition of the Salinas Longboard Festival was held, a must-attend event for all lovers of Longboard, retrosurfing, and aquatic rarities. Here you won't find shaved-head people pretending to be Kelly, nor bad vibes or shouting when catching a wave; this is all about good vibes and soul surfing.
We saw everything from a father surfing waves with his son from the peak to the shore, to boards made from bottle corks that looked like church confessionals.
We also enjoyed a great lineup of concerts with bands like Guadalupe Plata and Pony Bravo.
We were there for four days, through thick and thin, literally, as our "Vietnamese beach bar" was quite literally blown away on the last day.
