Machete Surfboard

We present our new aquatic gadget, the Machete surfboard. It is a thruster that is characterized by having less tail rocker and less concave between the fins. The small winger helps it maintain direction from the bottom to the lip of the wave, giving it greater control in the wave's bowl. The nose rocker is curved upwards in the last 12” to balance the lower rail rocker and prevent it from digging in. The concave was moved further forward to compensate for the nose rocker and lengthen the line with the front foot, providing greater speed. The board is shaped by Iron Mountain and glassed by Walter Nieto from Zorlak surfboards. Its dimensions are 6.0 x 19 1/2 x 2 1/2. Photography by Fran López Bernardez.
