The Malpica Longboard Classic, with only four editions, is already established as the best longboard festival on our northwest coast. Located in the incredible town of Costa da Morte, Malpica de Bergantiños. It contains all the ingredients you can't miss out on: Surf, Rock & Foodbeer. This latest edition of the Malpica Longboard Classic ran from April 29th to May 2nd, four days of surf, Rock, beer + beer + beer & food, which had nothing to envy from Farruquito's wedding. The damn north wind spoiled the waves a bit, but that didn't stop many from getting into the water against all odds, literally. This didn't affect the fact that the party and good vibes were guaranteed throughout the event. When there's a lack of waves, a couple or ten beers come in handy. Every lover of the "single fin" and soul surfing in general had a mandatory appointment at the event. Even having visitors from the Portuguese and French scene; with the Gato Bask team. The nights of Friday and Saturday were enlivened by R'N'R bands (of course), Killer Cats and Mad Martin Trio. We received a fantastic welcome in our first year at the festival, and from here we thank Toni Varela, Dani Alvite, José Dourado Blanco, Javi Taladrid, Marisú Fernandez Barroso, and Quique Otero Seijo for their efforts in organizing this whole bash.
