Malpica Longboard Classic, with only four editions, is already established as the best longboard festival on our northwest coast. Located in the incredible village of Costa da Morte, Malpica de Bergantiños, it has all the ingredients you can't miss: Surf, Rock & Foodbeer.
This last edition of Malpica Longboard Classic ran from April 29th to May 2nd, four days of surf, rock, beer + beer + beer & food party, which was as good as Farruquito's wedding.
The damn north wind messed up the wave situation a bit, but that didn't stop many from getting into the water against all odds, never better said. This didn't affect the party and good vibes, which were guaranteed throughout the event. In the absence of waves, a couple or ten beers are always welcome.
Every lover of "single fin" and soulsurfing in general had a mandatory appointment at the event, even with visitors from Portugal and France, with the Gato Bask team.
Friday and Saturday nights were enlivened by R'n'R bands (of course), Killer Cats and Mad Martin Trio.
We received a fantastic welcome in our first year at the festival, and from here we thank Toni Varela, Dani Alvite, José Dourado Blanco, Javi Taladrid, Marisú Fernandez Barroso and Quique Otero Seijo for their effort in organizing this whole shindig.
