O Marisquiño XV took place last weekend, on August 7, 8, and 9, in the city of Vigo. Of course, once again, we couldn't miss this significant event, both for the skateboarding community and for our city.
Once again, the different disciplines that make up the event packed the Naútico de Vigo area, despite the scorching heat during those days.
This year, Dagan Off Road created a new discipline brought from the U.S.A., "Face to Face," a one-on-one duel through a short circuit no more than 150 m long, with its respective double jumps and hills.
The World Cup Skateboard was one of the main pillars of O Marisquiño XV, with riders from all over the world battling it out. Dave Duncan and Jairo Jailrock livened up the event with their sweet voices.
Our national rider, Danny León, had a very tough time against riders from the neighboring country (France), who displayed a technique more befitting a video game than real life.
Aurelien Giraud took first place and his neighbor Adrien Bulard second, with Danny León achieving third place and the Best Trick award.
During the event, a minute of silence was observed throughout the event in memory of the recently deceased Dani Rivas.
Overall, once again, O Marisquiño did not go unnoticed by any Vigués. We would like to congratulate the organization and thank them for their support.
