We are pleased to introduce Paco Castagna, the newest member of La banda del Machete. With roots in Arzignano and a life split between Italy and Scotland, 30-year-old Paco Castagna is an unstoppable force in the exciting world of speedway. His passion for motorcycles began at an early age, riding slowly around his backyard at the tender age of 4 or 5. However, it wasn't until he was 15 that he dove into the fast-paced world of speedway, a decision that would change his life forever.
Paco didn't let his "late" start hold him back. In a sport where many begin competing at 5 or 6 years old, he proved that true passion has no time limits. In 2015, he celebrated his first victory in senior individual races, marking the beginning of a series of notable triumphs.
Among his impressive achievements are his three Italian Champion titles (2017, 2018, 2022) and four Italian Under-21 Champion titles (2011, 2012, 2014, 2015). His prowess on the track extends beyond borders, with an International Argentine Champion title in 2022 and the Slovenian Champion title in 2021.
A prominent member of the Italian national team and a European Pairs finalist, Paco has not only left his mark on national competitions but has also shone on the international stage. From reaching world qualifying rounds to making the playoffs with the Edinburgh Monarchs in 2022 and 2023, his career is a testament to dedication and success.
Paco Castagna, a true ambassador of speedway, continues to leave his imprint on every turn, proving that speed is not just his job, but his passion and his path to greatness. His story keeps accelerating, and the roar of his engines resonates on every podium he conquers.
