Another year we were present at the new edition of Salinas Longboard Festival 2015. A longboard and retro-surfing event not to be missed, even though it's becoming exponentially more crowded each year, the festival continues to maintain its soul surfing identity.
This year we shared space with our great friend/enemy, Iron Mountain Surfboards, a shaper focused on longboards and retro boards.
We also had the pleasant company of some members of the Nasty Laybacks, Antón and Michi. They enjoyed the festival much more than others, and not just thanks to the Swell that this edition offered us.
Another surprising visit was from Aboiando, he was in his Seat 600 with his longboard strapped to the roof (considerably exceeding the size of the car), he made a necessary stop on his journey from Santiago heading to Motorbeach, at La Espasa beach.
Hurricane-force winds made chairs, awnings and other things... fly happily around the area, if a proper gale doesn't come in, it's not Salinas Longboard Festival.
We also highlight the excellent performance at the tunnel party by Los Chicos and Novedades Carmiña. Good doses of R 'N 'R made the audience vibrate. It also helped a couple of "Uranium Hands" (petty thieves) literally make a killing during the performance. From here we wish them all the worst and twisted karma for the rest of their days.
In general, apart from specific things, a very good atmosphere and highly recommended.
