The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride Vigo took place on Sunday, September 27, as the first edition of this global event in our city.
The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, for those who are not aware, is a non-profit charity event that brings together classic motorcycle enthusiasts, dressed in their finest attire, to raise funds for prostate cancer and create awareness for men's health issues.
The event took place in over 81 countries worldwide, and in different cities within each country. 36,842 Riders registered on the official website of The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride have raised well over 2 million dollars, which indicates a significant level of public involvement.
On both The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride official website and its social media, you can see images and videos from all participating cities or regions.
The Vigo route, with 57 registered Riders, started at the Sea Museum in Alcabre and continued to Alfonso's promenade, passing through Monte del Castro and La Guía, ending in Plaza de Compostela.
Thanks to the Riders and sponsors who got involved in the cause, Vigo achieved fourth place in fundraising in Spain, after Madrid, Barcelona, and Jerez.
