The 5th V Rockers Day was held this past Saturday, May 16th, in the city of Vigo. Leather, beer & meat once again proved to be an infallible combination for enjoying a good motorcycle Saturday.
V Rockers Day began at 10 AM on May 16th at the O Castro cafeteria (next to the olive tree), setting off a little later towards Baiona, taking the coastal road in the direction of A Guarda. After passing through the municipality of Santa María de Oia, we took the Torroña road which connected with O Rosal, the first stop for various needs. It's worth noting the great welcome from the locals at this first stop, with a kind of procession carrying a Furbi-sized image among four people, accompanied by the local band (bass drum, snare drum, bagpipes, etc...).
After a close call with a run-off and dodging a couple of cows (they fled in terror knowing their tragic end), we arrived at Robledo steakhouse, located on Mount Aloia in Tui, a carnivore's paradise, with a grilling area that looked more like a crematorium than a barbecue. This made sense after seeing the size of the steaks served there.
Later we set off towards Monte Alba (well, not exactly Alba, it's its twin, but right now I don't know its name) and finally ended up at La Urbana Bike, to continue talking about motorcycles, watered down with beer.
As night fell, the party continued at Iguana Club with concerts and DJs.
Thanks to Cobras Café Racer for the excellent organization (even with a support sweep car) and for selling their soul to the devil so that it's sunny every year and never rains on this important event.
