Wheels and Waves 2015

Wheels and Waves 2015 was a waterlogged edition, but that didn't stop the town of Biarritz and its surroundings from being taken over by engines making the noise of hell itself. Open and loud exhausts are what's most popular at the event. After a Thursday of untimely downpours, the weather offered a small respite the following Friday with hardly any rain until mid-afternoon. This was a great help in being able to enjoy the "Punk's Peak Race," the race held every year in the mountains of Hodarribia. One-on-one, over 400 meters or so with a double curve. Again, for the second year, the race was crowned by "LuckyCatGarage's" nitrous-oxide-powered beast. Although some Swiss riders had created a Moto Guzzi specially prepared to beat "LuckyCatGarage's" BMW, unfortunately, at this edition of Wheels and Waves 2015, they didn't have the luck of seeing "the arrowed beast's" rear wheel. Our "Hot burrita" at the top of Hodarribia decided to start blowing fuses one after another and wouldn't start again, but thanks to the support of El Solitario Mc and their henchmen, as well as Honor Motorcycles, we managed to cross the border and reach base camp. The camaraderie and good vibes during the event were particularly noteworthy, both from the participants and the locals, who were willing to lend a hand at all times. The Asian cavalry was the special guest of this Wheels and Waves 2015, bringing Shinya Kimura and the builders of some of the BMW nine T models created in Japan, such as Bratstyle, Cherry's Company, Hide Motorcycle... Ducati, with its current launch of the new Scrambler, also had some custom builds on display, such as the one by the French Krugger. An edition, like every year, surpassing the previous one. Although we missed the old location, at the lighthouse. But it is understandable that for logistical reasons and overcrowding, it has been moved to the "Cité de l'Océan."
